What are your thoughts about it and how does the content relate to you as a person and as a future Shinrin Yoku Guide?
Combine 1-3 into an essay of minimum of 300 words and send it to TMT by email. What will you write in the subject line and message? =)
In Japanese culture, to find meaning and purpose in life is to find one’s ikigai (from Jap. a purpose for life; ikiru-iki – to live, to exist; kai-a shell becomes gai; iki-gai). Shells during the Heian period (end of the 8th to 12th century) were very valuable for producing a variety of crafts.
Living a life with meaning and value can make you happier, more content, more resilient through hard times, and more likely to influence the lives of others.
1) Look at the figure above and try to find your ikigai. What is it? Do not worry if you have doubts and you feel like you are not getting any closer. The first step is to attempt to brainstorm some ideas for each element of this IKIGAI tool.”The world needs it” may be tweaked a bit => “My community needs it”, “People in need need it”. Find what suits your context best.
Submit 1) to TMT by email together with Activity I one day before Week 11.
