If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are on the lookout for Shinrin Yoku Instructors to join our global team and help us spread the benefits of forest bathing across the world.

About Us:

Our mission is to promote human and nature well-being and mindfulness by connecting individuals with the natural world through Shinrin Yoku practice. Our founder, Milena A. Guziak, also believe that Shinrin Yoku/Forest Bathing/Forest Therapy leads to New Humanism. As part of our global outreach initiative, we are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join us as Shinrin Yoku Instructors.

Requirements:

To be considered for this unique opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (required for the instructor training) and one of the following languages: French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Thai, Portuguese, Polish, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Swedish, Norwegian, Russian, Slovak, Czech, Hindi, Malay, Filipino, Italian, and Turkish. Please note that at this time we are not seeking instructors who can deliver training only in English. If you feel you wish to become a Shinrin Yoku Instructor, but your language is not stipulated, please also follow the same procedure.

  2. Shinrin Yoku Experience: While certification by our organization is not mandatory, candidates must have previous experience as a Shinrin Yoku guide.

  3. Documented Practice: Applicants should have a documented minimum of 24  sessions of Shinrin Yoku practice within the last year. If you facilitated more, please include that too.

  4. Active Practitioner: Must be an active practitioner of Shinrin Yoku and have a deep understanding of its principles and benefits.

  5. Business Ownership: As we primarily operate in a business-to-business (B2B) model, candidates should be business owners or have the capability to establish a Shinrin Yoku guide business in their respective regions.

  6. Training Responsibility: Successful candidates will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive 15-week online Shinrin Yoku Guide training program in their native language. This training will equip future guides with the knowledge and skills needed to lead others in the practice of forest bathing. The goal is to later on be in charge of the blended 10-week online and 5-day immersion training in your country based on the model established in Japan.

How to Apply:

To apply for the position of Shinrin Yoku Instructor with Us, please follow these steps:

Motivation Letter: Write a compelling motivation letter that explains why you are passionate about Shinrin Yoku and how you wish to contribute to your community and the global well-being movement through this practice. Share your personal journey and your vision for promoting mindfulness and healing through nature.

  2. Shinrin Yoku Guide Certificate: If you have obtained certification as a Shinrin Yoku guide from any organization, please submit a copy of your certificate along with your application. While certification by our organization is not mandatory, it demonstrates your commitment to the practice.

  3. Documentation of Practice: Fill out a document that provides evidence of your 24 sessions of Shinrin Yoku practice within the last year. This documentation can include dates, locations, and a brief description of your experiences during each practice session.

  4. Curriculum Vitae (CV):

    Please attach your detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) to your application. Your CV should include the following information:

    1. Contact Information: Include your full name, contact number, email address, and current location.

    2. Professional Summary: Provide a brief summary highlighting your relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

    3. Education: List your educational background, including degrees earned, institutions attended, and graduation dates.

    4. Shinrin Yoku Experience: Detail your experience as a Shinrin Yoku guide, including the number of years you’ve been practicing, the types of programs or sessions you’ve conducted, and any notable achievements or projects.

    5. Language Proficiency: Highlight your proficiency in English and the other language(s) you are fluent in, emphasizing any certifications or language-related achievements.

    6. Business Ownership: If you are a business owner or have experience in running your own business, provide information about your business ventures, their scope, and your role in managing them.

    7. Additional Certifications: Include any other relevant certifications or training that showcase your expertise in mindfulness, wellness, or nature-related fields.

    8. Community Involvement: Describe any involvement in community initiatives, events, or activities related to Shinrin Yoku or wellness, and explain how you have contributed to the well-being of your community.

    9. References: Provide the names and contact information of professional references who can vouch for your qualifications and character.

    10. Hobbies and Interests: Feel free to share any hobbies, interests, or personal activities that highlight your connection to nature and well-being.

Please note that, upon selection, you will be required to sign a contract with us outlining the terms and responsibilities of your role as a Shinrin Yoku Instructor.

 

Next Steps in the Application Process:

After you submit your application, our team will carefully review each submission to ensure they meet the specified criteria. Applications that do not meet the criteria will not be considered for further evaluation.

If your application successfully passes the initial screening, you will progress to the interview stage, which consists of three rounds:

  1. First Interview Stage: HR Screening

    In the first interview stage, you will have a conversation with a member of our HR team. This initial discussion is an opportunity for us to learn more about your background, your passion for Shinrin Yoku, and how you envision contributing to your community and the global well-being movement. The HR team will also address any questions you may have about the role and our organization.

  2. Second Interview Stage: Founder Interview with Milena

    If you successfully pass the HR screening, you will be notified and invited to the second interview stage, which is a one-on-one interview with our founder, Milena. This conversation will delve deeper into your experience as a Shinrin Yoku practitioner and guide, your goals within the organization, and your alignment with our mission and values. Milena will provide insights into the her vision and discuss how you can play a pivotal role in our global outreach efforts.

  3. Third Interview Stage: Contract Review

    Following the successful completion of the first and second interview stages, the third and final interview stage will be dedicated to a comprehensive review of the terms and conditions of the contract to work with us.

    During this stage, we will provide you with a detailed contract that outlines the responsibilities, expectations, and commitments associated with your role as a Shinrin Yoku Instructor. You will have the opportunity to thoroughly review the contract and address any questions or concerns you may have.

    Our team will guide you through the contract, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of your rights and obligations as a member of our organization. We are committed to transparency and open communication, and we want to ensure that you are comfortable with the terms before proceeding.

    Once you are satisfied with the contract and have any necessary clarifications, you will be asked to sign it, officially cementing your partnership with us. This contract signifies your commitment to our shared mission of promoting well-being and mindfulness through the practice of Shinrin Yoku.
