Meet our Shinrin Yoku Guide - Lucia

Meet Lucia P., a multifaceted person who brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work. As a certified professional in various disciplines, Lucia combines her expertise in movement, dance, and nature-based wellness to offer enriching and transformative experiences.

Lucia’s journey began with her professional training as a Contemporary Dance Performer at the Centro de Formación Profesional para bailarines de Danza Contemporánea, Contempodanza (2012-2016). Her deep understanding of movement and body awareness laid the foundation for her future endeavors.

She expanded her skills by completing a certification as a Somatic Movement and Dance Therapist and Educator (RSMT, RSDE) at the Eastwest Somatics Institute in Mexico, accredited by ISMETA and Yoga Alliance (2020-2022). This training equipped her with the knowledge to facilitate therapeutic and educational movement practices.

In addition, Lucia is a certified Barre Coach, having completed her training at The Barre LAB in 2023. Her commitment to continuous learning and personal growth is evident in her diverse qualifications.

Her diverse educational background also includes a diploma in Choreography, Dance, and Performance Practices from the Instituto de Cultura Mexicana (SEP), Goethe Institut, and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2018-2019). This intensive program involved master classes, workshops, and conferences with prominent figures in the field, enriching her approach to dance and performance.

Lucia’s unique blend of skills and experiences makes her an exceptional guide and instructor. Her sessions are infused with a deep love for movement, dance, and nature, providing participants with holistic and healing experiences. Join Lucia for a journey that integrates body, mind, and spirit, fostering a profound connection with yourself and the natural world.

For some years now, I had been very curious to understand and study more about Shinrin Yoku.

This pandemic brought pain, but it also brought opportunities of light, for me, this certification has been that light. I will always be grateful for that!

As a dancer I have felt that I do not always fit well into the mold of the image of the dancer that one is supposed to be, I have learned over time that each living being is its own way and I discovered that nature is part of that destiny for me, The certification is my new HOW in life.

Every Tuesday morning as soon as I turned on the computer and saw all the faces of my classmates and teachers, those were all enjoyable moments, what I loved with all my heart was that we all embraced and respected each other’s individual processes, even the Curriculum is designed for that, no one got lost along the way.

My most endearing achievements were being able to make friends around the world and understand that this technique is as personal as the individual who performs it, this left me an open field for imagination.

I will celebrate these achievements by following my life path, saying yes to life.

Thank you  for accompanying us in the most kind and sensitive way that a human being can accompany and you two have inspired me to undertake by daring to share who I am with the world, I will always be grateful to them and they will always have a home in Mexico.

I CANT WAIT TO MEET YOU ALL GUYS IN PERSON AND GIVE US A HUGE HUG!!!!
