Journey Through Life With the Wisdom of the Forest
In the heart of our teachings at 森の心・人の心 – Journey Through Life With the Wisdom of the Forest is the fundamental principle of Kokoro. This Japanese term embodies the heart, mind, and spirit, and holds at its core the essential value of harmony.
Harmony, both within ourselves and with others, is a cornerstone of our practice. When we reflect on Kokoro, we are reminded of the inherent balance that exists within us, a dynamic equilibrium that allows us to navigate the tumultuous sea of life with grace and serenity.
As we walk the path of Shinrin Yoku, or forest bathing, we are immersed in an environment that is the epitome of harmony. The forest, with its diverse elements co-existing, adapting, and flourishing, presents us with a powerful model of unity and peaceful cohabitation. It serves as a constant reminder of how we, too, can exist in harmony with our surroundings and with each other.
Harmony also underlies our interpersonal interactions. It encourages us to seek unity and peace, to understand and appreciate the perspectives of others, and to interact with kindness and compassion. This principle fosters mutual respect and collaboration, enhancing our relationships and enriching our experiences.
At 森の心・人の心 – Journey Through Life With the Wisdom of the Forest, we advocate the cultivation of harmony as a path towards wellbeing and personal growth. We invite you to join us, to explore the wisdom of the forest, and to embrace the tranquility and balance that comes with internal and external harmony. Through this journey, we learn to create a peaceful resonance in our lives, to the benefit of ourselves, our communities, and the world we share.
