Journey Through Life With the Wisdom of the Forest
In a landmark event, The Mindful Tourist: 森の心・人の心 proudly hosted the first integration gathering for Shinrin Yoku Guides from Poland who were trained in the Polish language. This inaugural assembly brought together 18 guides, united by their shared passion for the well-being of both humans and forests. The three-day retreat was a deeply enriching experience, marked by a series of holistic activities that strengthened the bonds within this unique community.
The gathering featured a Shinrin Yoku session and a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, both facilitated by Milena, the founder, who traveled from Japan to lead this special event. The program was further enhanced by a sound session conducted by Marta, a breathwork session led by Iwona, a meditation guided by Dominika, and a movement session orchestrated by Karina. Throughout the days, other guides contributed to the rich tapestry of the event by leading various small activities.
Evenings were filled with warmth and camaraderie, as the group gathered around the fireplace for late-night conversations and enjoyed relaxing sauna sessions. Despite this being the first in-person meeting for many after completing 15 to 20 weeks of remote training, the guides felt an immediate and profound connection—as if they had known each other for years.
The guides came from various parts of Poland, with Milena making the journey from Japan, illustrating the far-reaching impact and unity that Shinrin Yoku can foster across cultures and distances. This first integration gathering not only solidified professional ties but also created lasting friendships, setting a foundational precedent for future meetings of Shinrin Yoku practitioners.
We also want to thank you Olga and Paweł, the owners of the INGLOTÓWKA, for welcoming us with open hearts.
